We don’t really need a theme for these monthly "new villas" installments, but we do love our islands here at Luxury Retreats. Our newest villas come from opposite sides of the Earth, but aren’t so different after all. Take your pick between these beachy, view-blessed additions from the Big Island of Hawaii and Mykonos, Greece…

There’s a lot to get to, so let’s not drone on and instead leave the newsletter real estate to the villas themselves:

Big Island

• Black Sand Beach Villa (above left): This Polynesian-style home is private and fully-stocked. You can see humpback whales from your breakfast lanai.
• Hale Maluhia (above right): Sitting on the quiet fairway of a famed resort course, this villa offers lots of privacy but is just two minutes to the beach.

Mykonos

• Aegean Horizon (above left): There’s lots of space to relax in the sun at this unique luxury home close to Lia Beach. Up to 14 people can stay in comfort.
• Aegean Twilight (above right): Classic stone and sugar-cube design is the hallmark of this large property in southwest Mykonos. With separate, private apartments, it’s great for couples traveling together.

• The Eagle’s Nest (above left): True to its name, this six-bedroom villa is elevated above the town of Fanari and offers great views of the Aegean. The architecture is traditional Cycladian.
• Magdalena (above right): Overlooking the fabled islet of Delos, Magdalena is the perfect spot for simple, relaxing holidays with good company, good food and a scenic atmosphere.
